When a tooth needs a crown

A large old filling that keeps chipping, a tooth that has cracked, or a tooth that has just had root canal treatment all share the same problem: not enough sound structure left to take a normal bite. A crown wraps the whole tooth and takes the load off the weak parts.

The alternative is usually watching the tooth fracture further until it cannot be saved at all, which is a far more expensive outcome. We will tell you honestly when a filling is still fine and when it is not.

Materials

Most of our crowns are zirconia, which is strong enough for back teeth and can be layered for a natural look on front teeth. Our lab work is sourced locally, which keeps the turnaround short and the accountability clear.
