Same Day Dental Implants
When same day treatment is possible
Immediate loading is only appropriate where the implant achieves enough primary stability at placement, and where the bite forces on that tooth can be controlled while it heals. Front teeth with good bone are the most common candidates.
We assess this from your CBCT scan and confirm it at the time of surgery. If the conditions are not right on the day, we place a temporary and bring you back, because an implant loaded too early is an implant at risk.
Why the timing works at our clinic
Our Yokine clinic runs a 3D scanner and 3D printer on site, so the temporary crown can be designed and produced in the building rather than sent to an external laboratory and back.
Common questions
Is a same day implant as strong as a conventional one?
The implant is identical. What differs is when it carries load. A same day crown is usually a lighter temporary designed to keep pressure off the implant while it integrates, and the definitive crown follows later.
